NEWS FROM EARTHINSITE (MAY 2010)

GEELONG & MELBOURNE REGION 2009 HIGH REOLUTION AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Canberra 25 May 2010
Geelong
Following the highly successful 2009 aerial photography of Melbourne, City2see is now pleased to announce the availability of high resolution aerial photography of the city of Geelong. This new photography is provided in conjunction with Sinclair Knight Merz Pty Ltd.

The photography, flown over a number of different times from Jan to October 2009, has a spatial resolution of 35cm, and retails from $14.90 for a standard resolution digital product. Our higher resolution on-line products and prints continue to be available.

It covers all of the city of Geelong, the entire Bellarine Peninsular and goes as far south as the famous Bells Beach, west as far as Batesford and Ceres, and abuts the existing coverage of the Melbourne urban area (See article below).

Melbourne Region
City2see is also pleased to announce an extended coverage over the regional areas surrounding the Melbourne metropolitan area.

This photography, flown in May/October 2009, has a 35cm spatial resolution and is a continuous coverage from the existing Melbourne urban area north to Kilmore, north east as far as Aberfeldy, south east as far Warragul and south to San Remo. To the west the coverage includes all of Geelong and as far north as Daylesford. All of the February 2009 fire ravaged areas north east of Melbourne, including Kinglake and Marysville are also covered.

These new coverages join the other high resolution coverages of Sydney, Melbourne, Darwin, Newcastle, NSW Central Coast, Canberra, Gold Coast and the Upper Hunter Valley.

As usual the photography can be viewed via a street address or by selecting from a list of significant features.

Earthinsite have also developed a unique system by which users can choose to download a version of each image that is ready for direct import into many of the drawing and design software packages available on the market today. This can be done at no extra charge and is ideally suited for architects, engineers, environmentalists, town planners, designers, draftsman and other businesses in the property market who wish to overlay other vital information.
