New 2006 Melbourne Air Photography Now Available

Earthinsite.com Pty Ltd in conjunction with Sinclair Knight Merz Pty Ltd and Fugro Spatial Solutions Pty Ltd are pleased to announce the availability of new 2006 high resolution colour aerial photography of the Melbourne urban area on our web site City2see.

This new photography, flown in February 2006, has a spatial resolution of 10cm -one of the highest resolutions of aerial photography offered on the web worldwide. It enables you to see with great detail: building information, property infrastructure, road markings, vegetation, powerlines and even their shadows. This is the best and most current aerial photography available on-line for any Australian city. Click on the image to the right to see a sample.

The coverage and quality of this new photography is far superior to what has been available before. The coverage now extends as far south as Mt Eliza, north to Donnybrook, west to Werribee and as far east as Mount Evelyn and Belgrave.

Like all City2see photography all you need to view and purchase a copy is a web enabled computer. Digital copies can be purchased from as low as $15.90 and are available immediately from the site. As usual we are offer a range of higher resolution JPEGs and a range of printed and laminated services delivered right to your home or office.

New Image Centering Tool

In response to user feedback we have added a new tool to the City2see web site.

This new tool allows you to centre the image in the viewing window on a new location by simply clicking on the spot. This tool is ideal for those users wishing to centre their image on a road intersection, park, golf course etc - all those locations that do not always have a defined street address. Ideal for architects, civil engineers, surveyors and insurance, real estate and environmental applications.
