This satellite image poster includes bathymetry data of the ocean floor compiled from GEBCO (General Bathymetric Charts of the Oceans) data sets. The bright blue colour represents shallower water or continental shelves making it easy to see that Australia sits on the Indo-Australian Plate.
There is so much detail available that a great many other natural features can be seen. For example the world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef off the north eastern coast and the world's largest monolith, Uluru (Ayer's Rock) in the Northern Territory, can easily be identified.
The poster includes Australian State/Territory boundaries, is in Albers Equal Area Conic projection, has a 10° latitude/ longitude grid and is printed on good quality paper.
It makes a good education tool for the kids and looks great when framed and hung on the wall in the home, office or conference room.

The Living Earth - Pacific Rim View

This image is very popular and is a mosaic of hundreds of satellite images. It is both beautiful and accurate. The extent of desert is staggering, and the rich, deep and vast oceans show up wonderfully. It displays the longitude and latitude along with “Time Clocks” that represent the different time zones around the world. Through the use of NOAA satellites that follow a polar route, thousands of individual satellite images were combined to produce the truest image of the Earth. The mosaic was assembled over a period of 14 months.
